This two-hour workshop is all about creating art with real flowers. Together with Anisa, you will learn how to arrange flowers to create your own framed artwork of dried flowers, which you can take home with you to enjoy.

You can design and compose your own botanical artwork, starting with a selection of pre-pressed flowers and leaves. During the workshop, you will also learn about different types of flowers and what makes them ideal for pressing, as well as tips and tricks for preserving colors during the process, so you can continue experimenting on your own after the workshop. The workshop takes place indoors at Trompenburg, with handmade sweets to make the afternoon extra enjoyable.

No experience is necessary—just curiosity, a love of nature, and a willingness to slow down and create something beautiful.

You will learn:

How to select, prepare, press, and preserve flowers. Simple design and composition techniques. How to create and frame your own artwork with pressed flowers. Tips for continuing this hobby at home. At the end of the workshop, you will go home with your own artwork with pressed flowers (21 x 30 cm) and lots of knowledge about how to create other botanical artworks in your own time. The workshop will be held indoors, but please wear something warm.

About Anisa:
I am Anisa, the creator behind StarAniss Pressed Flowers studio, where I make botanical art inspired by the colors and shapes of nature. I am a biologist and sustainability expert with an artistic streak—my profession and my art are both ways of creating a deep connection with nature. Pressing flowers started years ago as a simple academic exercise, but over time it became a form of reflection and grounding for me—a calming ritual that I love to share with others through my workshops.
